A Trip Down Bayou
A Trip Down Bayou
This down bayou home is perfect for crawfish boils and entertaining, but it needed a little help attracting a new family.
This room feels dark and deserted. Not likely anyone willingly spends time in here, which is a shame because that picture window frames a perfect view of the bayou.
We lightened and brightened this room by opening the curtains, adding a lamp, and taking the shades off the chandelier. We also brought in furniture, gave it an inviting layout, and anchored it with a rug.
This drab kitchen isn't doing a thing to highlight it's features.
After a quick edit of the countertops and lighting, this kitchen feels bigger and much more inviting.
A nice room, but this family space seems nondescript.
This room is huge and now if feels like the perfect place for hosting large parties. A great conversational furniture arrangement and more light were all the space needed to come to life.
Aside from the bedding, nothing about this room screams respite.
Before staging this bedroom was completely forgettable, maybe even weird with that strange bumped out wall. Staging helps it feel cozy, transforming the bump-out into a feature.
This bathroom feels like a dark closet that no one would like to spend much time in.
The transformation of this bath is what staging is all about. Before it was dark and unimpressive, but with the help of some white towels (especially the ones on the stand beneath the window that draw your eye through to the back of the room) and baskets, this bathroom feels like a whole new room with plenty of storage!
The bedding's a bit of a mess, it's also pretty dark. Not as relaxing as one would hope a master would be.
This once dark and daunting master now feels light and relaxing.
It doesn't have a window so it's not technically a bedroom. What is this space for? This room seems like it might be an office, but it's really hard to tell.
Creating a workspace with desk, art, lamp, and shelves gives purpose to this previously anonymous space.
This just feels like a storage space where unused furniture goes to collect dust.
This bonus space just inside the carport entry was more of a storage space before its transformation into a sitting room. Now you can imagine sitting on the bench to put on your shoes before heading out door or lounging on the sofa with a good book.
