Why Stage?
The moment you put your home on the market, it’s no longer your home, it’s a product you’re looking to sell. Home staging is how you market that product. And marketing works!
51% — The National Association of Realtors 2015 Profile of Home Staging reports 51% of Realtors are now advising home sellers to Stage their properties.
87% — According to Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) Statistics, staged homes sell 87% faster.
196% — Homegain.com reports your investment in Staging averages a 196% return on investment.
Why does home staging work?
It can be difficult for buyers to connect with a home decorated far outside of their style AND most people have trouble visualizing themselves living in empty houses as well. They just can’t see how to use the space.
Home stagers help sellers visually market their homes to appeal to the broadest range of potential buyers. They artfully and strategically choose colors, accessories, and furniture placements that highlight a home’s features while giving it just enough of that homey feel to win buyers over.
When should I stage my house?
Before you take your listing photos. This is the best time to stage because your house will never get as much attention as it does when it first hits the market. Remember, the longer it sits on the market, the more money you lose on mortgage payments and utilities.
When you make a price reduction. If your home has become a stagnant listing and you’re about to drop the price and update the listing, stage to make sure you score a second look from buyers.
